AMERICAN JOBS ACT EVALUATION

I spent the weekend going over the President's "American Jobs Act" (which he is spending tax-payer money to go out and campaign for). There was so little for actual private sector jobs it was disturbing.


But even more disturbing, most of it applies to the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, The Republic of Palau, Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico (page 26, 40, and others).  In one section it says Treasury will pay to each of these, amounts estimated by Treasury to be equal to the credit that would have been applied by this section (page 12) (because they don't actually otherwise qualify for the credit proposed?)....are you believing this?  But wait....


The main thrust of this bill is that it creates two new "Government Corporations" (now we have the government creating corporations instead of just departments); both will be charged will collecting fees to support their operations:


Establishment of the AIFA - American Infrastructure Financing Authority "established as a wholly owned Government Corporation".  Referred to then after as "The Bank" (pages 36-57). Establishment of The Public Safety Broadband Network Corporation (pages 62-91). Both have a Board of Directors, Chairperson, CEO, and all kinds of high-ranking positions required.

The Public Safety Broadband Network:  The bill says it is amending the Communications Act of 1934.  It may pay a licensee a portion of the proceeds to relocate to an alternate frequency...will provide funds to cover reasonable costs of relocating...will use auction and use competitive bidding to assign any license for domestic satellite communications, tv, and radio.  The commission may use an alternate approach to assignment of such licenses for the "public interest, convenience or necessity" (page 70).  Look out freedom of speech!

He threw the private sector a crumb by giving them a Payroll Tax Holiday for the calendar year of 2012 which says the government will take money from the general fund to make up the reduction in revenues for social security.  Are you believing this???

I found one good thing in the bill:  the extension of the 100% bonus depreciation for certain business assets.

The details:


Page 5 - if any provision of this Act is held invalid, the remainder shall not be affected (surely to be court challenges for taking over tv, wireless networks .ie. mobile phones, radio).


Page 6 - Payroll Tax Holiday for calendar year 2012 - the government will take money from the general fund to make up the reduction in revenues for social security.


Page 6 - All wages for paid laborers must be determined approved by the Secretary of Labor.


Page 6 - After January 1, 2013 there will be a 28% limitation on deductions for married making $250,000 or single making $200,000 (includes charitable deductions).


Page 6 - Prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of an individual status as unemployed.  (Can you say lawsuits against businesses!)


This bill pays for "Teacher Stabilization" (page 13-17) to rehire teachers that have been layed off, 25 billion for infrastructure rebuilding to public schools to make them "Green" (page 18-26), 5 billion for "surface transportation infrastructure" on all work designated by the Secretary as having high unemployment (page 35), 4 billion for high speed rail grants, 105 million for Puerto Rico Highway Program, 2 billion in grants for Amtrak, and "Project Rebuild" gets 15 billion for "purchase and rehabilitation of properties that have been abandoned" (page 58-62).

UPDATE ON OBAMA'S SNITCH-SITE ATTACKWATCH

I went on twitter and looked at some of the "tweets"...this is REALLY backfiring on them.  Tweets are going like this...

The only thing 'Cash For Clunkers' did was get all the Obama bumper stickers off the roads.

If you love me you have to help me pass this bill, we the people love the USA not Obama attackwatch.

Please look into the fact that Obama got all D's and F's in college.  Please release the transcripts to prove this is not true.

The ironic thing is attackwatch has only given conservatives one more thing to point to as evidence of Obama's Marxist totalitarian mindset.

OBAMA WANTS YOU TO FORWARD E-MAILS OPPOSING HIM

Remember during the health care debate the White House asked citizens to forward e-mails to them that disagreed with or were giving misleading information about his health care bill (they used the word "fishy e-mails").  Well they quickly removed the website plea probably due to public outrage if I had to guess. 

Well they're at it again!   A website has been set-up for people to forward information that attacks Obama and his policies 'so they can get the facts and fight the smears'.

An online form requests the content of the attack on Obama; you can upload the email, file, link on the web or just type in what you heard.  The form wants to know if you heard it on a Forwarded E-mail, Website/Blog, Rumor, TV Interview, Public Statement, TV Ad, Radio Ad, or Robocall!!!

This should outrage everyone!!!  How do you like this hope and change?  Link below:

AMERICAN JOBS ACT EQUALS STIMULOUS 2

Obama's latest job scheme which should be named Stimulous 2, but which they cleverly named "American Jobs Act" was finally delivered to the American people in a deceptive politically-charged speech 5 days ago (September 8, 2011). Although he says he has had this plan since July and announced he would unveil his plan in a speech after his August vacation and the Labor Day holiday, today, September 12 he says he will finally deliver "a bill" to Congress tonight.

Today in another politically-charged speech in the White House Rose Garden mid-morning (while most of us are working) he said 'it must be passed immediately.'  He said in today's speech he heard a Republican say 'I don't know why we would want to cooperate with Obama now it's not very good for our politics'."  Does anyone believe that he heard that?  First of all, he said that he didn't hear all the offensive things Reverend Wright said in his church.  He said he didn't hear all the offensive things the Teamsters President James Hoffa said before announcing him at a rally of union members this past Labor Day. Secondly, it is just not the way people talk.

Who doesn't want to help create jobs in the country except him with his policies.  He is incapable of doing things to make the economy work simply because of his ideology. Stimulous 1 which passed without a single Republican vote was a complete failure which he admits, but his pundits and administration appointees keep saying it was a success.  How stupid do these people think we are?  He has spent money on "cash for clunkers" which brought automotive sales to complete halt after the program ended and a shortage in used cars that has driven up the prices of buying a used car for the middle class.  He gave tax credits to people for buying new energy efficient appliances and the market for those items collapsed also after the end of the program  (I didn't get one - didn't have the money for the appliance which we need).  He and his democrats passed ObamaCare without a single Republican vote - now all our insurance premiums have risen...we could go on and on about this one but anyone who reads my posts knows how I feel about ObamaCare from earlier posts.  All of this at the expense of us hard working tax payers.  He and his democrat-controlled congress passed Dodd-Frank financial reform which was a smoke screen to make it look like they were doing something about the mortgage crisis, which has caused banks to shed 60,000 jobs so far this year.  It did nothing to address the root cause of the mortgage crisis - government mandating banks to make sub-prime loans to people that couldn't afford it (another democrat mandate).  He put a moratorium on oil drilling and imposed new regulations which sent those jobs overseas; gave Brazil 2 billion to drill sending those jobs overseas; promoted the collapse of middle-east oil producing country dictators including involving us in a third war in Lybia.  Now we have gasoline up over 100% since he took office - it was approximately $1.70 when he took office. Business is scared to hire and spend money.

He added today, in his Rose Garden speech, that "this is not the time for politics"; "these are not games we're playing...the American people need jobs". Yes we do Mr. President, but you seem to be the one playing games and the politics of optics like you are doing something with a another stimulous rename policy.  Your pundits were out there today saying "Republicans ran on a platform to create jobs."  No, they ran on a platform to stop this insane spending and stop Obama policies which are killing jobs.  They have watched what your hope and change has done to this country and they know jobs can't really be created until you are out of office when your policies can be overturned.  See you on the campaign trail again tomorrow trashing Republicans for not passing "your plan" when they won't even get it until "tonight."  You already started this morning saying "almost all independent economists agree that this plan will create....blah, blah, blah"  There is no bill yet!  How stupid do you think we are?  So proceed with your blame game before you give the Republican Congress a bill you can blame on them for not passing.  We figured you out now.  This IS NOT THE TIME FOR POLITICS;  it's the time for adult leadership to really solve this problem.  Reagan (once a democrat) had to clean up after Carter's 1-term experiment/disaster for our country.  Perhaps our only hope for change now is that you will be voted out next November and this experiment will come to an end.

OBAMA FLEW BUSES TO EACH STATE FOR AUGUST "BUS TOUR"

I wanted to see the two new buses the American people bought for Obama for 2.2 million dollars from a company in Canada for his 3-day bus tour through "the heartland" mid-august.  We were told by the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney that the buses were necessary because “The president needs to get out in the country and meet with real folks in real places.”  There were 41 tax-payer provided SUV's and vans, police car escorts, and the two armor-plated buses in the motorcade (see video below).  One thing that struck me was the number of vans with no security lights.  Who were all these vans carrying?  It is my suspicion that they carried loyal democrats who were planted in the crowds to set the tone of the town halls for the other "sheeples" in attendance.  They would be chosen first to ask pre-screened questions and make comments that were favorable to Obama calming the crowds of some otherwise angry American citizens.

But here’s the thing: Apparently President Obama only rode the buses for a couple of miles at a time, spending the rest of the time flying from community to community in Air Force One. What’s more, the buses were flown from stop to stop as well.   The 2.2 million dollar buses built in Canada with 39 other vehicle entourage at tax-payer expense after Obama just threatened to withhold August social security payments because there might not be money in the coffers!

During these staged town halls, he and the entourage spent a three-day trip visiting Cannon Falls. Minnesota.  Decorah Iowa, and oh he made it to two cities in his home state of Illinois - Atkinson and Alpha.  It's all just optics - at our expense, when the media keeps bragging that he will have almost 1 billion dollars in his re-election campaign coffers.  But buses were all strategically arranged to put an image out there that he cares and wants to get out there with real people.  While we have been scorned for driving our SUV's by President Obama, I'm sure the 18 to 25 year-olds that have been manipulated into believing in "global warming" and propelled Obama into office will never hear this side of the story.

But who is surprised?  He said he visited 57 states before being elected in 2008 and since then, can't give a speech to 2nd graders without two teleprompters (not to mention a 3 minute speech yesterday to announce a new economic appointment disaster).

OBAMA HAS ANOTHER RELATIVE LIVING HERE ILLEGALLY

President Obama has another relative from Kenya living in the U.S. illegally.   He was arrested for DUI last week and had a federal immigration warrant out for his arrest to be deported back to Kenya.

Remember the story of Barack Obama’s illegal alien Aunt Zeituni who had mooched the system in Boston for public housing, welfare and food stamps for years. All while ignoring deportation orders and skipping immigration hearings, before a judge (in an unprecedented closed hearing) granted her asylum in May 2010.

You may recall that Obama’s Aunt wasn’t exactly humble or grateful about her experience:




Now is has been reported that Obama has another close relative in the U.S.  illegally who is gaming the system in Massachussetts. Onyango Obama, 67, is the “Uncle Omar” mentioned in the president’s book, “Dreams From My Father.” He is the brother of Zeituni and last week, “Uncle Omar” Obama was arrested in Framingham, Mass. for DUI when nearly colliding with a police car. The details:

Obama failed a field sobriety test after almost running his SUV into a police car in Framingham, Mass, near Boston. According to a police report, he rolled through a stop sign and then made a quick left turn, requiring the squad car and another vehicle to slam on their breaks to avoid hitting him.

And if there was any doubt about his connection with the President, “Uncle Omar” cleared that up right away when he was booked:

Framingham Public Information Officer Lieutenant Delaney said when Onyango Obama was asked at the station if he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail, he replied: “I think I will call the White House.”

Uncle Obama has a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement warrant for his arrest. ICE has previously ordered him to be deported back to Kenya…. Judge Douglas Stoddart did not set any bail on the driving charges but ordered him held on the ICE warrant.

Sound familiar? That is what Aunt Zeituni faced as well, minus the DUI of course. In fact, it has now been reported that “Uncle Omar” has retained Cleveland lawyer Margaret Wong – the same immigration attorney who successfully represented Mr. Obama’s sister Zeituni, when she managed to avoid deportation to Kenya. So will Obama’s Uncle get the same reward for his crimes as did Obama’s Aunt – asylum?

And what of Presidnet Obama’s recent order suspending the deportations of millions of illegal aliens? Will this apply to his own Uncle as well? And if so, is that express conflict of interest even legal under Federal law or ethics requirements?

OBAMA THREATENING TO WITHHOLD AUGUST SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS

Today Barack Obama said in an interview with CBS news that if a budget deal between the Democrats and Republicans is not reached by August 2nd, the $20 billion expected to go out in social security payments the following day may not go out. Obama said, “I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue.  Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it."

This is such bull!  The federal government receives 72 billion in social security tax revenue each month (this includes Medicare/Medicaid taxes taken out of our paychecks too)!!!  That is almost 4 times the amount Obama states he needs for the month of the August 3, 2011 distribution.

According to Wikkepedia, "During FY 2010, the federal government collected approximately $2.16 trillion in tax revenue. Primary receipt categories included individual income taxes (42%), Social Security/Social Insurance taxes (40%), and corporate taxes (9%) Other types included excise, estate and gift taxes."

Excuse me, Mr. President, we have worked hard all our lives and paid money into social security/medicare/medicaid.  Back in the eighties and nineties we were told Congress was putting it in a "lock box" so they couldn't spend it.  Are you admitting that you have already spent our August 2011 distributions?  THIS SHOULD OUTRAGE EVERYONE AS IT DOES ME.  He is holding social security recipients hostage so he can get tax increases in a debt raising deal so they can spend more money!!!  Call the White House and demand that Obama keep the federal government promise to social security recipients: Comments:  202-456-1111.
